This service allows you to request your criminal record check (CRC) covering the whole European Union, or one of the member states listed below, if the standard, nation-wide service is unavailable.
Each European Union member state is obliged to act as a depository of its citizens’ convictions handed down in that state, as well, as in all other EU member states. Hence, by requesting the information from the criminal register of the country of your citizenship, you are effectively including all the European Union countries in the search. We communicate this in the cover page of our reports, explaining this mechanism and providing the legal basis. We want to ensure, even the receipients who are unfamiliar with this process understand and trust it.
The nation-wide criminal record checks in the states listed below are performed using the above described mechanism. The only difference is you instruct us to filter any potential information, deriving from states other than the one of your choice, out of the Report.
For further information on legal aspects please go to the European Union criminal record check service description.
How it works?
1 Order the certificate using the below Job Seeker’s Order Form and wait for our instructions.
2 Hand-sign our authorisation form and post its hard copy or email its scan/digital picture.
3 Complete the payment through a bank transfer, credit/debit card or PayPal.
4 Once the check is completed we email you the PDF report, and optionally, post the hard copy certificate.
If the recipient of the certificate is concerned about the authenticity of a document that went through the applicant’s hands, we are happy to email the ECRIS report on your behalf directly to the organisation you indicate.
Notice: Although certificates we obtain disclose the same quantity and quality of information as the ones issued directly by national criminal record bureaus, some government agencies may question it, as not fulfilling formal requirements. If you are ordering your criminal record check for visa, immigration, residence permit or other official purposes, it is advised you checked beforehand with relevant authorities if the ECRIS report is acceptable for the intended purpose.
Please be aware discrepancies between information obtained through this service and through requests made directly to particular countries’ criminal registers may occur if, i.a. the latter fail to fulfil their statutory obligation of transmitting the information on convictions to the country of the applicant’s citizenship in a timely manner.
This service is available only to the citizens of the countries listed at the bottom of this form (please disregard the option ‘other’ as it is not applicable for this service). The average turnaround time depends on the turnaround time specific to the country of your citizenship appearing in the pre-order summary below.
